Effects of anthocyanin on matrix metalloproteinase expression in human umbilical vein endothelial cell

  •   Objective   To explore the effect of ant hocyanin on matrix metalloproteinases(MMP)expression and activity.
      Methods   Human umbilical vein endot helial cell were isolated and incubated with 5μg/mL rCD40L for 24 h.After that, the endot helial cell were incubated with 1μM, 10μM, 100μM C3G and P3G for another 24 h, respectively.
      Methods   of zymography and Western blotting were used to analyze MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-9 activities and protein expression.
      Results   Ant hocyanin C3G and P3G inhibited MMP-1, MMP-2 and MMP-9 protein expression and their activities significantly.
      Conclusion   Ant hocyanin C3G and P3G inhibited MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-9 protein expression and their activities.
