Investigation on high risk behavior among men who have sex with men related to STI and HIV/AIDS in Dalian city

  Objective   To study the behavioral features among men who have sex with men(MSM).

  Methods   All behavioral data were collected by a special questio nnaire.

  Results   There were 234 MSM(94.7%)who had sexed with male partners 6 months before, in which 43.7% of them sexed with female partners.7.8% and 17.4% of participants bough-tsex and sold-sex respectively.About 81.4% of MSM had taken some prevention measures.Some 72.9% cases had considered checking HIV status.

  Conclusion   The high rates of HIV-related risk behaviors existed among the MSM population in Dalian, and the streng then prevention program and behavioral intervention should be taken as soon as possible.
