Evaluation on quality of life in 64 AIDS patients in Henan province

  Objective   To understand the Quality of Life(QOL)of AIDS patients in Henan province.So that some measure swere taken to increase the QOL and clues were given for future questionnaire research of QOL suitable to China.

  Methods   Multi-stage sampling was used.64 AIDS patients were selected, they were assigned to fill in the WHOQO L-HIV.

  Results   The six domains scores of the 64 AIDS were compared with the normal model: Physical Domain: 10.84±2.68(t= 12.71, P=0.001), Psychological Domain: 11.74±2.11(t=8.50, P=0.001), Level of Independence Domain: 10.964± 2.47(t=2.98, P=0.04), Social Relation Domain 13.094-2.16(t=3.12, P=0.003), Environment Domain: 12.154± 1.61(t=0.032, P=0.974), Spirituality/Religion/Personal Belief Domain: 10.45±2.52(t=1.89, P=0.063).

  Conclusion   The QOL scores living with AIDS is lower than that of normal model in Physical Domain, Psychological Domain, Level of independence Domain, Social Relationship Domain, respectively.While in the domains of Envir onment and Spirituality/Religion/Personal Belief Domain, there isn't statistical significance.
