Effects of temperature and relative humidity on radon exhalation rate of glazed tile in hermetic environment

  •   Objective   To explore the effects of temperature and relative humidity on Rdon ex halation rate of glazed tile in hermetic environment.
Methods   Ordinary glazed tile was used as experimental object to detect Radon concentration with Model 1027 continuous Radon monitorin a 01 25m3 hermetic simulation chamberat amerent temperatures and humidities, then Radon exhalation rates were calculated.
Results   In reasonable range, the correlations between Radon exhalation rates and temperature, as well as relative humidity could be expressed as ER=-0.0293T3+2.5543T2-72.82T+687.27(R2=0.9669)and ER=0.0001RH3-0.0354RH2+2.3391RH-25.044(R2=0.9889), respectively.
Conclusion   Environmental temperature and relative humidity have great effects on Radon exhalation rate of glazed tile.
