Epidemiology analysis on nosocomial infection of tumor inpatients

  Objective   To investigate the clinical epidemiology charaeteristie of nosocomial infections in tumorhospital inpatients.

  Methods   18 368 cases inpatients with malignant tumorwere analyzed epidemiologically from 2003 to 2005.

  Results   Incidence of nosocomial infection in patient with malignant tumorwas 5.0%, the rate of miss report was 6.9%.The incidence of nosocomial infection in the department of chemotherapy was the highest, it was 7.5%, with the proportion of nosocomial infection was 63.20%, in department of surgery the nosocomial was 2.5%(19.82%), and in department of radiotherapy was 4.4%(16.98%).Nosocomial infections occurred mainly in respiratory tract(45.2%), oral cavity(18.3%), gastrointestinal tract(13.1%), surgical site(11.4%).The rate of microbe test was 57.5%, and the antibacterial rate was 51.3%.

  Conclusion   Itis important to monitornosocomial infection in patient with respiratory tractinfection and oral cavity infection with fungal and surgical site infectionand gastrointestinal tractinfection.
