Effects of bFGF on the expression of CaMK Ⅱ mRNA in hippocampus and cortex after cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in rats

  • ObjectiveTo investig ate the expression of CaMKⅡmRNA in hippocampus and cortex after cerebral ischemia reperfusion in rats,explore the regulative effects and the mechanism of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)on CaMKⅡmRNA in the brain tissue of the rats.MethodsThe model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)was performed by using the intraluminal filament method.The expression of CaMKⅡmRNA and neuron apoptosis in hippo campus and cortex were detected with RT-PCR TUNEL method.ResultsThe expression of CaMKⅡmRNA in hippo campus and cortex reduced after cerebral ischemia reperfusion.The expression of CaMKⅡmRNA in bFGF group was increased,but neuron apoptosis decreased.ConclusionBasic fibroblast growth factor neuron inhibits apoptosis and participates in the regulation of expression of CaMKⅡmRNA in ischemc neurons and protects the neurons.
