Abstract
Objective To investigate connective tissue growth factor(CTGF),cyste in-rich 61(Cyr61)expression levels and their correlative factors in human esophagus carcinomas. Methods We quantified CTGF,Cyr61 expression levels in 186 esophageal cancer tissues and normale sophagus tissues around the tumor with real-time PCR assay and mimunoh istochemistry staining and analyzed correlative factors by logistic regression. Results Compared with normal esophagus tissue,sup-regulations of CTGF,Cyr61 mRNA(5.29?5.12,7.13?4.26)were found in esophageal cancer tissues (P=0.000).The CTGF,Cyr61 protein expression levels of esophageal cancer tissues(20.83?8.20,16.79?6.81)were significantly higher than that of in the normal esophagus tissues(P=0.000).Multiple factor logistic regression showed that in esophageal cancer, smoking and infiltrating depth were the risk factors of CTGF mRNA expression(P<0.01).Smoking,metastasis,family history, tumorsize and tumorstage were the risk factors of CTGF protein expression(P<0.05).Metastasis,tumorsize and infiltrating depth were the risk factors of Cyr61 mRNA expression(P<0.05).Metastasis,tumor stage and infiltrating depth were the risk factors of Cyr61 protein expression(P=0.001).Conclusion CTGF,Cyr61 may play a role in the progression of esophageal cancer, and may be an important target for gene therapy.
