Prevalence of anxiety, depression and influencing factors among urban residents of Zhejiang province

Objective To understand the status and influencing factors of anxiety and depression among urban residents aged from 18 to 60 years in Zhejiang province,and to provide evidence for making in terventional measures.Methods A cross-sectional questionnaire survey on anxiety and depression was conducted am ong 2331 urban residents.Results The multiva riate analys is showed that the female had a lower degree of anxiety than the male(β=-1.64).Unmarried group(β=1.38)and the divorced(β=3.89)had a higher degree of anxiety than married group.Scientific personnel(OR=116) and civil servants(OR=1.36)had a higher level of depression than the teachers.Conclusion Male,unmarried,and divorced person maybe have high risk of anxiety.Scientific personnel and civil servants maybe have high risk of depression.
