Influenza virus monitoring in Yunnan province, 2005-2008

Objective To find out epidemic characteristics and antibody level of influenza virus among health people in Yunnan province.Methods The chickem bryo and MDC Kcell were used for separation of virus,and the isolateds train was identified and serum antibody measured through hemagglutination inhibition(HI)test.Results The number of specimentested was 4346 and the number of positive specimen was 588 with a positive rate of 13.5%.Among the influenza virus,the H1 type was 197;H3 type was 155 and B type was 236.The total positive rate of all influenza strainan tibodies among healthy people was 36%-100%.Conclusion Different types of influenza virus predominate a lternatively and a reconsistent with the rise and fall of influenza antibody level in the population.
