Typing and identification of acute flaccid paralysis associated non-polio enterovirus isolated in Zhejiang province

Objective To identify strains of acute flaccid paralysis(A FP)-associated non-polioente rovirus(NPEV)-isolated in Zhejiang provice in 2006-2008 with molecular biolo gical method.Methods The specific targetgene fragment was amplified by RT-PCR with degenerate primers and sequenced,and the sequence was compared with that of GenBank database.Then,the homology identity was analyzed by DNAM AN,and the phylogenetic tree was constructed.Results Based on molecular typing,5 isolates were classifled into 2 serotypes of human enterovirus A species,24 isolates in to 13 serotypes of B,and 2 isolates into 1 srerotypes of C species.Conclusion Mo lecular biological methods can be used for ty ping and-identification of unknown entero viruses that can not be identified by traditional neutralization test.
