Interventions on mental crisis among people living with HIV/AIDS

The number of people with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) infection or acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)(people living with HIV or AIDS,PLWHA) is increasing year by year and the mental health of PLWHA becomes a focus concerned by the public.In the initial stage of HIV diagnosis and AIDS period,PLWHA face more serious mental problems leading to crisis.Crisis interventions are more frequently used in the population with others diseases,but less among PLWHA.The review summarizes psychological characteristics of PLWHA during a crisis and application of crisis intervention among PLWHA.
