Analysis on results of laboratory examination for STDs from outpatients

  •   Objective   To investigate the prevalence of pathogens of STDs at the Baoan region, Shenzhen.
      Methods   STD routine tests were conducted among 2 015 STD outpatients.The data was retrospectively analyzed and statistically compared.
      Results   Out of 2 015 STDs clinic attendances, 1 266 cases were diagnosed as STDs, the ratio of UU and CT infections were 23.23% and 17.97%, respectively.Their prevalent rates were much higher than other STDs' pathogens.There were 288 cases infected with more then two pathogens, the rate of mixed infection in female was 21. 73%, higher than male.
      Conclusion   CT and UU were the common pathogens in STDs cases in Bao an region, Shenzhen city.14.29% of the whole STDS cases suffered from more than two pathogens, with 21.7% in the female.While practicing at clinic, more attention should be paid to female cases.
