Effects of soybean ethanol etract on osteoblastic cell proliferation and TGFβ₁

  Objective   To explore the effects of flavonoid of celosia cristata on proliferation, differentiation and excretion of TGFβ₁ in vitro cultured osteoblasts.

  Methods   Osteoblastic cells from newborn rat calvarial was cultured.Osteoblastic cells proliferation was measured by MTT, activity of ALP was observed.SP immunohistochemistry was used to measure the effects of flavonoid of celosia cristata on expression of TGFβ₁ in vitro cultured osteoblasts.

  Results   The flavonoid of celosia cristata had the effects of stimulating the proliferation, differentiation of osteoblasts and increasing the expression of TGFβ₁ in vitro cultured osteoblasts in rat.

  Conclusion   The flavonoid of celosia cristata can stimulate the proliferation, differentiation and the expression of TGFβ₁ in calvarial osteoblastic cells.
