Objective To investigate the feasibility of extracting pulmonary alveolar acrophages(PAM)from mice.
Methods Free pulmonary alveolar cells from mice and rats were collected by bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF), and PAM were extracted by pasting. The purity of PAM were measured by acid phosphatase(ACP)assay and chicken red blood cell (CRBC)phagocytisis assay.
Results There were no significant difference of PAM in quantity between two groups.
Conclusion It was a simple and convenient assay of extracting PAM from mice by BALF.
