Objective To ascertain health behavior changes of residents during SARS epidemics in order to launch health education accordingly.
Methods With the personal interview questionnaire, 1807 subjects were sampled randomly with stratified-cluster random sampling from 7 occupations in Wuhan, and the knowledge, healthy behaviors about SARS was performed.
Results Many preventive measurements were taken among the citizens. Hands washing at the different situations, such as before meal, back home, and after contacting with public materials, were improved rapidly. Especially for those city working farmers, commercial workers and students.
Conclusion These results indicated that emphasis of health education and health promotion in the near future should focus on these persons.
