Comparison of Three Methods for Measurement of Diphtheria Antitoxin Level

Abstract

Abstract

Measurements of diphtheia antitoxin level in 825 human serum specimens by Schick test(ST),indirect microraemagglutination test (IHA) and enzyme Linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) were compared. The level of antitoxia used for differentiating positive and negative results was 0.0lu/ml. 1t was showed that the positive rates obtained with ST, IHA aad ELISA were 59.7%(493/825), 15%(125/823) and 58% (471/808) respectively.
