The Study of Reproductive and Developmental Toxicity of Arsenide

  • In order to investigate the reproductive and developmetal toxicity of arsenide, the method of two generaition one nest reproductive test was used in this study. The result showed that(1)The pregnant rate and feeding survival rate in high dose grope were lower than those of in the control and low dose group.(2)After 10、20、30days of birth, the weight of offspring in high dose group were lighter than that of the groups of control and low dose.(3)The contents of arsenic in rats soffspring were increased by dose of arsenic and the differences were significant.(4)The spleen/weight and thymus/weight ratios in high dose group were lower than the control.Hb,TLC,clearance index and phagocytic index reduced obviously. This study suggested that arsenic can affect the ability of animal's reproduction and development, pass through the placenta barrier and result in affecting growth, development and phsiological and function of offspring.
