Determination of Copper、Zinc、Iron、Magnesium And Protein Concentrations In Serum of Children with Nephrotic Syndrome and Glomerulonephritis

  • The serum copper, zinc iron, magnesium and protein levels of 50 patients with nephrotic syndrome, 28 pat ients with glomer ulonephritis determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The serum copper, zinc, iron, magnesium and protein in glomer ulan diseases were analy zised. The results showed that the serum level of zinc in nephrotic syndrome group and glomerulonephr itis group was significantly lower than normal group. The serum levels of iron, magnesium were of insignificant difference between glomerulandiseases group and normal group. There were significant pos-itivecorr elations between serum zinc content and serum albumin content, and between serum zinc content and serum globulin content. The serum level of copper in nephrotic syndrome group was significantly lower than normal group. The serum level of copper were of insig nificant difference between glomerulonephritis group and no rmal group. There w er e significant posit ive cor relations between serum copper content and serum albumin content, and between serum copper content and serum globulin content. We suggest these changes are associated witht he gener at ion and state of disease.
