An Epidemiological Survey and Analysis on Prevalence of Chronic Disease among Residents in Tianjin

An epidemiological survey of chronic disease had done in 1997, with a sample size of 35019 was selected by using the delamination cluster sampling method.And the epidemiological character of chronic diseases of Tianjin has analyzed.The result showed that the prevalence of heart disease was 25.36 ‰, hyperension was 22.16 ‰, stroke was 8.2‰, and diabetes was 5.28 ‰.Those above four of diseases had significance diffeence in gender, age, occupatio nand aread(P<0.05), and it was increasing with age.The prevalence of cancer was 1.09‰, it was no sig nificance difference in sex and occupa tion(P >0.05).This surevey identified the eqidemiological character of chronic diseases prev alence, and it is providing the basis for making control program and research deeply in next stedps.
