Study on Risk Factors of Newly Diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes Mell-itus in Community

A 1??2 case- control study and conditional log istic reg ressio nanalysis were conducted to explore risk factors of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus. Monofacto rial conditional logistic regression analysis show ed that family histo ry of DM, histo ry of hyperlipemia,WHR, BMI, history of hyper tension, and systolic blood pressure (SBP) were significantly positively correlated w ith DM;multifactor ial condit ional logistic regression analysis showed that, adjusted for other var iables, family histo ry of DM, WHR, history of hyperlipemia SBP were significant too. This study sugg ested that it would be beneficial to preventing, early diag nosing and curing for ty pe 2 diabetes by educat ion, regular screening and adv antageous intervention in high risk populatio n w ith one or more factors mentioned above.
