The epidemiological surveillance of deng ue fever was carried out in parts of Guangdong province from 1996 to December, 1998.It may help to predict early the prevalence of dengue fever and to prevent its Three districts:Foshan city.Shawang town and the town of Ping shi where dengue fever once happened were Chosen.Dengue virus was not found through isolation from boat the sera of unknown feverist patients and the mosquito pools.But, as for mosquitoes, the Breteau index was highly above the effective control limit which is 5.As for seroepidemiology, the dengue antibody level of the healthy mass is decreasing with time.In Pingshi town the local dengue antibody level was even close to zero.So there lies the potential danger of the outbreak of dengue fever.
