An Study of Coxsackie Virus B Infection and The Relationship between Coxsackie B and hepatitis Virus Infection

  • An investigation of relationship between coxsackie virus B(CVB) and hapatitis virus infection have been carried out in 121 clinical hapititis patients and 108 donors by testing serum anti-CVB-IgM and anti-CVB-IgG with immuno-enzmye histoch emical method. The results shows that:the positive rate of anti-CVB-IgM,IgG,and IgM+ IgG is 9.9%,19.8%,25.6% in hapatitis group, and 8.3%,36.1%,40.7% in donors groupres pectively;the three positive rate as above is 663%,15.9%,20.6% hapatitis B group, and 13.8%,24.1%,31.0% in non-B hepatitis group respectively,in hepatitis group, especiaiiy in hepatit is B group, the positive rate of anti-CVB-IgG, and IgG+ IgM is significantly lower than donor group. These results indicated that the hepatitis B patients may have low immune response to CVB,or the hepatitis B virus may in terfere the CVB infections ubsequently. The detail lmechanism need fur ther study.
