Genetic epidemiology analysis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

To determine the relation between genetic factor and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).we selected 206 COPD nuclear families and 206 contml nuslear fanilies. The data of those families were analysed. The segregation redo of COPD was 0.27 and the genetic model of COPD belonged to polygenetics.Theheritability of COPD was 44.4%,49. 3% for male and 38.8% for female. It is coneluded that genetic factor as the environmental factors is one of the risk factors for copd,and is specially of imporrance for males.
