The Comparative Observation of Somativ Types and Skeletal Mature on Growth Decelerated Period

According to their Quetlet Indices,the students′ somatic types(sturdy,moderate,slender)were evaluated in adolescent growth decelerated period. A total number is 210,including 15～17 year-old males and 14～16 years-old females. The height,weight,shoulder-breadth,and pelvic breadth were measured. The skeletal age and skeletal cortex index were calculated. The results showed that,in both sexes,the mean values of skeletal age were significantly higher in sturdy group than those in moderate group(P<0.05). But the variety of metacarpal Ⅱ cortex thickness and cortex index which representing skeleta calcification was not significant among different somatic type groups. The mean values of shoulder-breadth and pelvic breadth in sturdy group were wider than those in moderate group in each-age groups. In both sexes and each-age groups,the pelvic breadth variety was significant(P <0.05),except in 17 year-old group. These suggested that pelvic breadth can represent the width development and it is more important to certain age group.
