A cross-sectional survey on epidemiological characteristics and economic burden of injury in noninstitutionized population of Guangdong province

    Abstract
  •   Objective   To describe epidemiological character istics and economic burden of injury in Guangdong, and provide information to make policy.
      Methods   The study sample which was 18 547 person was got by multi-stages randomized sampling by face-to-face interview.
      Results   The incidence rate of injury was 21.9%, There were significant difference between male(23.5%)and female(20.2%)urban(17.3%)and rural(26.4%), and age-adjusted rate was 21.2%.Every injury case had 1.39 injuries during one year averagely.
      Conclusion   The injury incidence rate in Guangdo ng was high and the burden of injury was huge.
