Investigation on ealth status and service utilization among community inhabitants in Nanjing

  Objective   To understand health status of the community inhabitants and to take community diagnosis.

  Methods   12 878 community inhabitants were surveyed in Nanjing.

  Results   The total prevalence rate of the chronic diseases was 26.6%.The prevalence rate of latent hypertension was 14.8%.The control rate of blood pressure was 35.4% among hypertension patients.The disease prevalence rate in the past two weeks was 30.8%.The rate of seeking medical advice in the past two weeks was 13.0%.The rate of being in hospital in the past one year was 6.9%.

  Conclusion   The community health care must be developed.Prevention of the chronic diseases should be taken in the community.
