Principle and development of Haddon model

Haddon model is a classical conceptual model which aims to analyze the risk factors of accidental injury and to develop intervention strategies. Based on domestic and foreign literatures, we deepened the understanding of the Haddon model and followed the latest developments. Haddon model is widely applied in foreign countries but seldom adopted in researches conducted in China. The "lens and telescope" conceptual model is the latest development of Haddon model, which integrates life course theory, emphasizes that the formation and impact of injury has long-term character and extensive social ecology, and it also provides a more systematic theoretical framework for the study of accidental injury intervention strategy.
