Objective   To develop a Chirurgisches Qualitätssiegel (CQS)– Chinese version (CQS-C) and to assess the reliability and validity of the CQS-C.
Methods   We translated the CQS into Chinese with standardized procedures and translated the CQS-C back into English and compared the translation with the original CQS for the revision of the CQS-C. Then we conducted a self-administered survey with the revised CQS-C among 1 238 healthcare workers in five hospitals in Beijing, Xiamen and Guangzhou city and in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to evaluated the reliability and validity of the CQS-C.
Results   The developed CQS-C consists of 13 items and three dimensions were extracted from the 13 items with factor analysis. The overall Cronbach's α of the CQS-C is 0.959 and the composite reliability value is 0.925. The values of average variance extracted (AVE) are relatively high for all the three dimensions, indicating a good content validity; the results of structural equation modeling revealed a good construct validity of the CQS-C, with the root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) of 0.076, goodness-of-fit index (GFI) of 0.947, incremental fit index (IFI) of 0.976, comparative fit index (CFI) of 0.976, Tucker-Lewis index (TLI) of 0.965, and normed fit index (NFI) of 0.972.
Conclusion   The developed Chirurgisches Qualitätssiegel (CQS) Chinese version is of good reliability and validity when applied among healthcare workers in China.
