Research progress in assessment model for dementia risk: a review

  • Dementia is a group of syndromes that seriously threaten the physical and mental health of the elderly. So far, the pathogenesis of dementia is still not clear and the treatment of the disease remains a problem in the world. Screening people with high-risk incident of dementia for early intervention can effectively reduce or delay the occurrence of the disease. In order to identify individuals at high risk of dementia, a number of dementia risk assessment models have been established at home and abroad. These models are different in construction methods, prediction indicators, and applicable population. To learn about current dementia risk assessment models and provide references for the selection and development of dementia risk assessment models, a review of the current research progress on the existing dementia risk assessment model was made.
