Regimen for public health physician in England: some enlightenment for China

  • Nowadays much more attentions are paid to people's wellbeing and yearly increased funds were put on public health and fundamental medical care by Chinese governmental agencies. Building up a normative modern public health physician regimen means a lot to the development of public health in China. Concerning on current situations of shortage and outflow of excellent public health staff and obvious decreases in the number of persons taking health practitioner examination and admission scores, we studied public health physician regimen in England as a mature public health physician regimen abroad and analyze its mechanism from cultivating, admitting, employing, quitting and encouraging aspects and compared the aspects with those in China; then we put forward some suggestions to the development of the public health physician regimen in China.
