Application of “Internet +” in public health: analysis of two cases in Shanghai city

  • At present, the application of "Internet +" in public health services is developing rapidly, but there is a lack of appropriate data standards, leading to difficulties in the construction process. In addition, the application of "Internet +" in public health services has both public welfare and commercial characteristics, involving multiple stakeholders and interested parties, resulting in imperfect development models, poor supply-demand matching, and insufficient sustainability. In this context, this paper selects two cases, the Shanghai Health Cloud Platform and the Vaccine Comprehensive Management Platform, to analyze the difficulties, solutions, and effectiveness of "Internet +" public health services. On this basis, the characteristics of "Internet+" public health applications are summarized, and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to provide a reference for the theory and solutions of "Internet+" public health in other cities in China and global cities.
