Study on Performance for Air-Mercury Elimination Filter-Material

  • ObjectivesIn order to control the air Hg pollution effectively,systematic studies have been done on the air-Hg absorbent property by the self-prepared filter-material,and some necessary parameters relating to material application were provided based on experimentation.MethodsAir-Hg absorbent performance test of filter-material was carried out and Hg-purifying effect of the imitational purifier was observed.Sampling and analytical technique was atomic absorbent spectrum method.ResultsWhen the air-Hg passed through the filter-material for 0.3 second,the air-Hg was decreased for near 100% proportion,even the pass-through time shortened to 0.1 second,the air-Hg also decreased by 80% in propotion.The saturation amount of Hg adsorbed in the filte-rmaterial could reach to 0.5% weight of material.This filter-material had such superiorities as good stability for Hg integ ration,low resistance for air passing.ConclusionThe filter-material had marked ability for removing air-Hg contamination and could be regarded as the Hg-absorbing material.
