Study on Riboflavin Nutritional Status in Primary Children of Shenzhen

  • ObjectiveTo study riboflav in nutritional status of primary children of shenzhen for scientific dotum.MethodsAccording to the principle of random sampling,fluorophotometer was used to research riboflavin nutritional status of total 568 primary chlidren of Shenzhen.ResultsBasing on Chen Xuecun's assessing standard,82.5% of school children aged 7 to 9 was with normal and sufficient riboflavin nutritional status,15.3% inadequate and 2.2% dificient.The boy's riboflavin level of children aged 7 to 9 was obv iously higher than the girl's(P<0.01).Among 10 to 15 years old surveyed children,78.1% was with normal and sufficient level,21.3% inadequate and 0.6% deficient.The boys.level of this age group was still higher than girls',but the diffrence was not significant.ConclusionSuggestion is that the inadequate and deficient status of riboflavin is common among primary children of Shenzhen.The boys.status is better than the girls'.Higher class group shows worse than the lower one.Family and school's diet should be adjusted scientifically.The intake amount of dietary riboflavin should be increased or the nutrition be supplied additionlly.
