Effective Analysis of Hypertension and Nutritional Health Education on Hypertension Population’s Knowledge, Attitude and Practice in a Community

  • ObjectiveTo assess hypertension and nutritional health education effect on the hypertensives.MethodsThese 370 aged 35-75 hypertension subjects were sampled randomly as hypertension and nutrition knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)survey baseline population in a community of Shanghai,with 176 hypertensives in intervention group,194 hypertensives in control group.After one-year community health intervention,the second KAP survey was carried out in these two groups population.ResultsThe intervention population mastered more nutrition knowledge than the control population.People in the intervention group knew "Chinese Dietary Guide" and changed their non-normal dietary behavior much more than ones in the control group.ConclusionHypertension and nutritional health education in a community was effective and could help hypertensives to improve their hypertension and nutrition knowledge,urge them change non-health dietary behavior and establish health dietary pattern.
