Investigation on Cercarial Dermatitis Infection along Huaihe River System

  • ObjectiveTo know the infected situation of cercarial dermatitis along the banks of Huaihe river.MethodsMaking cross-sectional study among part of residents living in villages and small town along the banks of Huaihe river to decide infected situation.Cercarial were separated by direct press from Radix auricularia collected on the spot to infect ducklings.The eggs and imagoes were separated from infected ducklings.ResultsThere was cercarial dermatitis along the banks of Huaihe River.The infectious rate of human was 61.33% and had no relation with sex and the number of touching water.The source of disease was cercarial of trichobilharzia.Intermediate host was Radix auricularia,average infectious rate was 0.21%.ConclusionCercarial dermatitis was popular along the banks of Huaihe river,which was caused by the cercarial of trichobilhar zia.
