Effects of Chitin on LPO and SOD and GSH-Px of Old Mice

Objective To explore the effects of chitin on L PO and SOD and GSH-Px of old Kunming mice.Methods After oral administration for 14 days,the content of L PO by adopting TBA、SOD activity by adopting NBA and GSH-Px by adopting DTBN method differently.Results Except the 64.0mg/kg·bw for LPO,chitin has high difference with significance vs control(P<0.01),the other two forms have difference with significance vs control(P<0.05),except for the 810mg/kg·bw for SOD and GSH-Px activity,chitin has difference with significance vs control(P<0.05),the other two forms have significant difference vs control(P<0.01).Conclusion The results show the chitin can reduce the LPO content,increase the SOD and GSH-Px activity.
