Determination of Trace Sn in Unplastized Polyvinyl Chloride Pipes for Drinking Water Supply by GFAAS

  • Objective To find new methods to detect Sn in unplastized poly vinyl chloride pipes for drinking water supply.Methods L-Ascorbic acid is used as matrix modifier in the direct Zeeman GFAAS to determine trace Sn.Results The method detection limit is 9.3pg.The recovery is 94.0%-101.0%.The RSD obtained from the data of 11 determinations at the concentration level of 6.0 g/L is 4.6%.Conclusion This method is simple,quick,accurate and sensitive.It is a very good methods for measuring Sn in unplastized poly vinyl chloride pipes for drinking water supply.
