Analysis on Medicine Usage and Blood Pressure Control of Patients with Hypertension in Rural Areas

Objective To explore the situation of medicine usage and blood pressure(BP) control of hypertension patients in rural areas.Methods Questionnaire was conducted.Results The rate of agents usage was 71.3% in first visit cases,only 6.64% patients persist in using agents for long term.The rate of stopping using medicine was 83.96% half a year later.The complex agents and calcium antagonist were chiefly used,the total was 55.6% in single drug usage,the combination drugs was 44.34%.The calcium antagonist was 22.64%.The effective getting rate of controlling blood pressure was 59.43%,only 27.36% was well preserved at survey time.Conclusion The rate of getting the target BP and of abiding medicine usage in rural areas were evidently lower than that in city.
