Analysis on Traffic Accident Injury in Dalian in 2000

ObjectiveTo study high risk population,high risk vehicle types and high incidence time of traffic accident injuries.MethodsTraffic injries of 2000 were analyzed by using descriptive epidemiology.ResultsIn 2000,there were 4 368 cases of traffic accidents.The death rate was 11.80/100 000,injury rate was 17.16/100 000.The age of high incidence was 21 to 50 years old.The death rate of males was 3.23 times higher than that of females.Autos were the vehicle type of high incidence for traffic accidents;personality of drivers was responsible for traffic accidents.ConclusionThe measures of prevention and control were to strengthen traffic safety education,improve road safety level and quantity.
