Effect of Wheat Embryo Extracts(WEE) on Immune System and Antioxidative Function

  • ObjectiveTo study the effect of wheat by-product,WEE on immune system,antioxidant and other functions.MethodsThe whole experimental animals were divided into four groups including the control,CP,WEEand WEE+CP.ResultsThere were significant in phagocy tize rate in peritoneal macrophage,half value of hemolysin in serum,SODin liver and swimming time of ex perimental groups compared with the control(P<0.01,P<0.05,P<0.05,P<0.05).ConclusionWEE had ability to adjust immune function and change oxidative stress,which might be attributed to WEE containing polyunsatur ated fatty acid,vitamin E and other elements.
