Investigation on stress and mental health of 559 pupils in Huzhoucity

  •   Objective   To study the pupils.stress, their mental health and the stress effect on mental health.
      Methods   Stressors Scale and MHT were used to test a sample of 559 pupils.
      Results   The number of pupils who realized the stress of medium or high degree accounted for 24% and 51.2% respectively, and the highest stress among the stress sources was the stress caused by their parents.The number of mental disorders of the pupils accounted for 22.9%, and the rate of mental disorders of the factors of MHT were from 01.5% to 10.0%.Most of the stressors could for ecast the mental health of pupils remarkably, and stressors which forecasted mental health most remarkably were the stress caused by the need of respect, their study and their parents.
      Conclusion   Some of the pupils have mental disorders.Stress plays an important role in the mental health of the pupils.
