Study on oxidative stress on human hepatocyte induced by microcystin-LR

  •   Objective   To study ox idative stress on human liver cell induced by microcystin-LR(MCLR)at doses which were not cytotoxic(3~30 Lg/L).
Methods   The damage to enzyme system of HL-7 702 cell line was analyzed.
Results   Dose and time dependent intracellular decreases of catalase(CAT), glutathione(GSH)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were found. However, the lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)leakage and malondialdehyde(MDA)amount alteration were not significant.
Conclusion   The dose of MCLR that is not cytotoxic can induce hepatocyte oxidative stress, which can not be identified as lipid peroxidation yet.
