Influence factors of health service utilization on women with reproductive tract infections

  •   Objective   To find out the health service utilization of women with reproductive tract infection(RT Is)and its psychosocial factors.
      Methods   Proportional to Size Sampling method(PPS)was employed and face to face interview was used to collect the information.
      Results   The percentage of selfreported any symptom of RTIs was 39.2% and 12.8% women had three or more kinds of RTIs symptoms.Among all the women with RTIs, only 23.1% ever sought health service.Factors analysis showed that women's knowledge of RTIs contributed much to the health service utilization when they suffered from RTIs, but women usually lacked of such knowledge.In addition, unmarried women were less likely to utilize the service, income level and education, however, had no significant impact on it.
      Conclusion   RTIs is really prevalent among reproductive aged women in China, but only a few of them will go to seek health service when they suffer from RTIs.
