Objective To study the genotoxicity of auxin herbicide quinclorac.
Methods The Ames test and Comet Assay were used to detect the genotox icity of auxin herbicide quinclorac.
Results With and without S9 activation, there was positive result of the TA97, TA98 and TA100 strains and negative result of the TA102 strain in Ames test.Compared with the control group, the DNA migration increased significantly at the different three test doses of Erythroblast cells(P < 0.01)and exhibited a significant dose-effect relationship.
Conclusion The aux in herbicide quinclorac could cause genotoxicity.
