Correlation analysis of quality of life and economic burden of schizophrenic

  • Objective To probe into the correlation of quality of life and economic burden of schizophrenic,so as to provide the scientific evidences for the department concerned.Methods Epidemiological Field Investigation method was adopted to study it.Results The number of investigated schizophrenics was 69.There were respective statistical significant differences(P<0.05)between total medical cost caused by different pathogenetic conditions and onset forms.Meanwhile,There were also statistical significant differences(P<0.05)between patients inhabited differenthabitation,their environmental domain and sensibility role of QOL were different respectively.Through analyzing the data by stepwise regression analysis,it indicated that total medical cost of schizophrenic was positive correlation with course of disease and pathogenetic conditions; however,it was negative correlation with QOL.Conclusion Influenced by multiple factors,the economic burden of schizophrenic was very high.The department concerned provide more preferential policies for schizophrenic,so as to improve their QOL on the basis of relieving the economic burden.
