Survey on knowledge,attitude and behavior about AIDS among floating population from rural areas

Objective To know about the level of knowledge,attitude and behavior towards AIDS and to provide the evidence for conducting intervention among floating populationin rural areas.Methods These 1453 floating population were investigated in Zhen'an of Shanxi province by cluster-random sample.Results 37.6% of the interviewees didn't know AIDS vaccine.Only less 50% interviewees thought that AIDS could be infected by sharing razors or tooth-brushes.The education level was the most important factor for grasping the knowledge about AIDS.Conclusion AIDS education should be reinforced to meet the challenges of the large floating population and the lower quality.
