Abstract
Objective To determine relationship among vibrio parahaemolyticus strains and develop DNA fingerprint database of vibrio parahaemolyticus strains in Shenzhen.Methods Chromosomal DNAs from 56 isolates in agarose were digested with the restriction enzyme NotI,and then were analyzed by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis.PFGE patterns were clustered using Bionumerics softw are.Results There were 34 distractive PFGE patterns.28 stains belonged to the same cluster.Conclusion There were closely related pandemic clones of vibrio pamhaemolyticus in Shenzhen.The development of DNA fingerprint database would contribute to developmolecular subtyping surveillance network,laborator y-based active surveillance and sourcetracking for vibrio parahaemolticus.
