Survey on children hypertension and influcential factors among children aged 6～13 years old in Jinan city

ObjectiveTo know the status of childrencs blood pressure and the risk factors of childrencs hypertension.MethodsSurvey was performed in 6 278 aged children 6~13 years old.Blood pressure was measured.The related risk factors were investigated with the uniform questionnaire.ResultsThe prevalence of hypertension was 3.04%.No matter of systolic blood pressure(SBP)or diastolic blood pressure(DBP)were both increased with aging.There was a difference betw een girls and boys(P<0.01).The area of Jinan was a high incidence.Blood pressure of children were highly correlated with weight(P<0.01).Urban children had a higher prevalence than rural children(P<0.05).The children.hyper tension was correlated with genetic information.ConclusionThere existed a higher prevalence of children hyper tension,to which enough attention should be paid.Blood pressure can be descended by lowing body weight.
