Investigation on students’ knowledge, attitudes, behavior of prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in Jiangsu province

  • ObjectiveTo investigate knowledg e,attitudes,behavior of prevention and treatment of infectious diseases of student,provide information of infectious disease prevention and health education for schools to refer to.MethodsThe cohort stratified random sampling method was conducted.9 813 students from 78 schools at different levels of six cities in Jiangsu province(9 623 effective samples)were investigated for knowledge,attitudes,right behavior level about prevention and treat-ment of infectious diseases.Results(1)The know ledge,attitudes,behavior of infectious disease prevention accur acy rate were 84.2%,77.7%,81.5% respectively.Excellent rate were 54.8%,25.4%,60.1% respectively.The failure rate achieved 3.5%,10.1% and 12.3% respectively.The students' knowledge and behavior of the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases had no significant improvement at different learning stages,the attitudes accuracy rate even declined at some learning stage.(2)The prevention of infectious disease knowledge,attitudes,behavior accuracy rate were lower in the rural than in urban,lower in male than in female.(3)knowledge about prevention and treatment of infectious diseases and good behavior formation rate could not create exactly the same state.And the attitude rate was low too.ConclusionThe prevention and treatment of infectious diseases as well as student's knowledge,attitudes,behavior standar ds were generally good, but the over all level should be improved further.
