Abstract
ObjectiveTo probe association of the exon 1+869 T/C gene polymorphisms of transforming growth factor-β1(T GF-β1)with rheumatoid arthitis(RA)in the Hans in Guizhou province.MethodsThe exon 1+869 T/C gene polymorphisms were analyzed by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment lengh polymorphisms(PCR-RFL P)in 105 patients with RA and 110 healthy controls.ResultsThe RA patients had different distributions of +869 T/C genotype fre2 quencies to the healty controls((P<0.05),+869 TT was higher and+869CC was significantly lower in RA patients than that in controls; There was significant difference in the distribution of the +869 T allele frequency was higher in RA patients compared with the controls(P<0.05),the +869C allele distribution was lower in patients than that in controls. Conclusion The exon 1+869T/C gene polymorphisms of TGF-β1 was associated with RA patients in the Hans in Guizhou province, and +869 T haplotype was possibly one of the susceptibility factors for RA.
